Service Desk Agent
We are seeking a Service Desk Agent to join our thriving development team. We offer remote work and flexible working hours.
As a Service Desk Agent, you will play a vital role in supporting our software development team and ensuring our customers receive top-quality service.
Key Skills, Experience, and Attributes:
• Proven experience as a service desk agent or in a customer support role.
• Familiarity with help desk software and remote support tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Solid knowledge of IT systems and networks.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting system, application, and security logs.
• Strong working knowledge of MySQL, including writing and executing queries for data retrieval and analysis.
• Knowledge of MongoDB would be a bonus.
• Utilize and navigate Windows Server tools (e.g., Event Viewer, Services, Task Manager) to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Experience with Internet Information Service (IIS) configuration and troubleshooting.
• Background in software development is an advantage.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide first-line support to customers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues by analysing system logs.
• Perform database queries using MySQL to investigate and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot Internet Information Service (IIS) related issues.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems or escalate them to the relevant teams.
• Log all customer interactions, queries, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Follow up with customers to ensure issues are fully resolved.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products and services.
• Contribute to the development of service desk procedures and best practices.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain high satisfaction levels.
